Dutch RSDB ends talks to ‘foreign party’

RSDB, the biggest Dutch printinghouse, announces that it terminated discussions with a foreign industrial party, held during the last ten months. The talks were to result in a delisting of the shares of RSDB.

Last April, RSDB said it expected to complete its talks succesfully mid-May and therefor postponed its Annual Shareholders Meeting to mid-June. The sudden termination of the discussions caused RDSB’s shareprice to drop from a good 50 euro to less than 40 euro.
RSDB says that during the past six months the market of the graphic industry has worsened:
”This deterioration compels RSDB also to announce that, despite an increasing volume in paper tonnage in a stagnating market, the results generated from its ordinary business activities during the first six months of 2006 will be sharply lower compared to the same period of last year.”
